Bhagalpur Tussah

Complementing our Himalayan cashmere, our premium Tussah silk is sourced from the historic handloom clusters of Bhagalpur, India—famously known as the "Silk City."

Woven by multigenerational artisan families, this wild silk is celebrated for its rich, organic texture and natural golden luster. In alignment with our cruelty-free policy, we prioritize Ahimsa (Peace) silk practices wherever possible, allowing the wild moths to safely hatch and leave their cocoons before the fibers are gathered.

The result is a deeply sustainable, beautifully textured fabric that honors both traditional craftsmanship and the sanctity of nature.

Slubs

The distinct horizontal lines ripple across this Tussah silk, showcasing the exquisite artistry of authentic hand-loomed weaving. These beautiful irregularities—known as "slubs"—are the proud signatures of a truly raw, organic textile, ensuring that every single piece carries its own unique character. Moving away from the clinical uniformity of mass-produced fabrics, our silk offers a rich, tactile depth and an understated, low-sheen elegance. It is a highly structural yet incredibly lightweight material that brings the honest, unfiltered beauty of nature into the realm of modern luxury.

Where the River Meets the Loom

The serene, golden haze settling over the riverbanks beautifully mirrors the slow, meditative pace of our production. Just as the local fishermen work in quiet harmony with the water's natural rhythms, the traditional weavers of our Tussah silk honor the natural life cycle of the forest. The gentle, sun-warmed tones of the horizon reflect the authentic, low-sheen glow embedded within every hand-loomed fiber. By embracing these ancient, patient methods, we capture a sense of raw, unfiltered stillness, transforming a simple, nature-inspired landscape into a piece of wearable ar

The Heartbeat

The intricate heartbeat of the traditional handloom is where our raw fibers truly come alive. Watching the artisan’s hands guide the wooden shuttle through the warp and weft reveals the deep patience embedded in every thread.

There are no heavy, rushing factory machines here—only the rhythmic, steady click-clack of ancestral engineering. Every deliberate movement passes human warmth into the weave, capturing those signature, organic slubs.

This ancient, manual dance transforms raw Tussah silk into a structural masterpiece, ensuring your garment is quite literally shaped by time.
